Genesis Vacuum Technologies
Brings Technical Expertise
and Strong Customer Support
to Cryopump Product Line |
|
Sacramento, CA – Genesis Vacuum Technologies, Inc.
purchased the cryopump line from Ebara Technologies,
Inc., including all cryopump patents and technical rights.
Additionally, all engineering, manufacturing, and in-house
service personnel supporting the cryopump product line
transitioned to Genesis. With key leadership in place,
an experienced manufacturing and design engineering team,
and a state-of-art 25,000 square foot facility, Genesis
is committed to providing unparalleled global customer
support and strong R&D
for new product development.
Genesis has a strong commitment
to providing its installed customer-base with world-class
service and support for new customers, as well as for
all cryopumps originally sold by Ebara and Varian.
Integral to meeting this commitment is the revitalized
and expanded worldwide sales and support network. Genesis
has established a network of service organizations
in strategic locations within the US, as well as in
Europe, Japan, Taiwan, and Singapore. The next center
will open in China in early 2003. The network
will provide local refurbishment centers so customers
can quickly and cost-effectively have pumps rebuilt
and serviced.
Genesis is positioning
itself first and foremost as a technology company.
Under the leadership of President & CEO,
Stefano Mangano, Genesis is committed to looking to
the future of cryo-technology and providing its global
customers with consistent, cost-competitive solutions
to their vacuum technology needs. Current R&D efforts
focus on enhancing pump technology to meet the demands
of ever-smaller parts and the resultant stresses they
will put on manufacturing processes. Additionally,
the engineering expertise of the product development
team enables Genesis work with customers to develop
innovative cryopump systems for their unique, next
generation applications.
In December 2001, the Board
of Directors hired Stefano Mangano as President and
CEO. The board sought a leader of Mangano’s stature to guide Genesis from a
relatively small market presence to a position of industry
leadership. Mangano’s many years of technical
and managerial success at companies such as Lam Research
give Genesis a unique vision that is driven by technology
development. Upon joining Genesis, Mangano began the
acquisition of a strong management team comprised of
business, technology, and applications professionals.
“I believe that our technical expertise, combined
with our strong customer support, provides us with
tremendous growth opportunity,” explained Stefano
Mangano, President and CEO, Genesis Vacuum Technologies. “As
the semiconductor industry transitions to sub-100 nm
devices and 300 mm wafers, our R&D efforts will
allow our customers to take the next step.”
Genesis
Vacuum Technologies is a manufacturer of leading-edge
cryogenic vacuum pumps, compressors, and cryogenic
coldheads used for generating ultra-high vacuum conditions
in environments requiring high levels of cleanliness,
such as in the semiconductor and disk drive industries.
In the semiconductor industry, their systems can be
found in advanced wafer processing equipment, such
as physical vapor deposition (PVD) and implant systems.
